Coverdrone is aware that Altitude Angel Ltd – the developer and technology provider behind the Coverdrone FlySafe app – entered administration earlier this month.
Since that announcement, we have been monitoring the situation closely and working to understand any impact on the FlySafe service. At present, the free functions of the app remain available, including access to flight planning tools. However, we understand that some paid-for features, such as flight authorisation services, are currently unavailable.
Altitude Angel have confirmed that their GuardianUTM automated data engine remains online, continuing to provide airspace information, though with reduced manual oversight for checks such as NOTAMs. They have also advised that their email support channels are currently paused.
Our priority remains ensuring continuity and transparency for our customers. While we await further information from Altitude Angel, we will continue to assess the long-term options for supporting safe drone operations through FlySafe or a suitable alternative.
Coverdrone’s insurance products and policy management systems are unaffected, and customers can continue to manage their policies and access support as normal.
