Making the decision to fly commercial drone operations is a major step. You will be taking on work that could affect others, and you will need the right cover from day one – even if you have flown unmanned aerial vehicles as a hobby.
Coverdrone offers bespoke insurance packages to suit every requirement, and that might include your first, tentative flights as a novice when you familiarise yourself with new equipment. Part of your longer-term flying journey will involve training and, eventually, taking a practical flight assessment to gain permission to fly from your national Aviation Authority. We have always recognised that operators will need flexible plans that support them in the early stages. So Coverdrone offers a 30-day policy that covers equipment and liability.
Our experienced Insurance Advisors will discuss policy excesses, and this will reflect the increased risk from an inexperienced drone operator. But, YES, you can get comprehensive cover from us when you start your training.
During the learning phase you will gain a thorough understanding of aviation theory. That will include your knowledge of aviation law, airmanship and safe use of the airspace. When you pass your flight test, you’ll need to create an operations manual that outlines how and where you intend to fly.
Ideally, you will complete your training with an experienced instructor. Then, with your permission to fly you’ll be good to launch that new career and become a commercial drone operator. To reward your hard work and newly acquired skills, if you don’t make a claim during training, and you then take out an annual Coverdrone policy within 60 days, we will refund your training premium in full.
That’s how we operate – fair, affordable and always here to give you the best possible advice.
Taking full cover for your commercial unmanned aircraft business is always the best option. Coverdrone’s industry-leading policy gives you outstanding benefits that cover equipment, public & aviation liability, invasion of privacy and many other features.
For starters, you’ll benefit from public & aviation liability insurance where the value of cover is bespoke and flexible, to give you what your company needs.
Professional indemnity can be a serious business. We cover you for liability of negligent acts, and any error of judgement while you are flying your drone. This ensures that you are covered for data protection and invasion of privacy claims, and more. As with so many elements of the Coverdrone policy, you can speak to us about the level of cover you require, but our standard cover is often more than enough.
In the event of accident, we get you back up and flying – quickly. Our policy is to replace “new for old” unless you choose otherwise.
Coverdrone adapts with your business. Need to add another drone to your insurance policy? That’s not a problem, just call your dedicated agent and we will talk you through the process.
In fact, we pride ourselves on meeting the ever-changing requirements of the dynamic commercial drone industry. We cover you worldwide (subject to some territorial restrictions), for flight, transit and storage, and there are no restrictions on the number of hours you fly.
The full Coverdrone policy gives you comprehensive aviation insurance for in-flight operations, aviation liability, plus data protection and invasion of privacy issues. It goes without saying that Coverdrone is fully compliant with EU Regulation (EC) No. 785/2004.
